Obituary:
Attorney Jennifer Erin Coyne St. John, of Oxford, died on April 26, 2012 from lymphoma. She was 41 years old. She was born in Bridgeport on March 17, 1971 to Edmund Thomas Coyne and Gisela Dase Coyne of Stratford who both survive their daughter. Jennifer attended St. James School in Stratford and then graduated from St. Joseph High School in Trumbull where she was in the honors program for all four years. She graduated cum laude from Providence College in Rhode Island and received her law degree from Western New England College School of Law where she met her husband, Tom. Jennifer was employed by the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch as an Assistant Clerk at the Superior Court Clerk’s Office in Bridgeport where she was highly respected by her many friends and associates. She was a member of both the Connecticut Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Jennifer was a parishioner of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Woodbury where she actively served on the Altar Guild. Jennifer loved to travel with her family and enjoyed cooking especially during the holidays. She also enjoyed reading, sewing and quilting and was always working on a book and a project. Jennifer’s warm smile and gentle loving nature will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her beloved parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Francis St. John IV and her two adoring children, Trevor Coyne St. John, age 8 and Emma Chase St. John, age 4, all of Oxford. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 294 Main St., Woodbury followed by a reception at the church hall. Private interment will follow at Lake Elise Cemetery, Middlebury.
