Obituary for Oswaldo Suarez

Oswaldo Suarez, known as "Ozzie" to some and "Wally" to others, passed away at home on January 29th, 2020 surrounded by his beloved family. He was the devoted husband of Sylvia (Bravo) Suarez for 35 years. He was 60 years young.

He was born on April 26th, 1959 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Oswaldo and Issel (Meizoso) Suarez. From a young age, Ozzie had a lust for life. He sought adventure, fun, and laughter in everything he did. He would often say that he had “lived for three lifetimes.” He was an avid outdoors-man with a special love for the ocean and enjoyed the sight of lighthouses. He always brightened up the room with his contagious smile and left an everlasting impression on everyone he met.

Ozzie owned and operated his own business, Faros Design.Build.Remodel, and served his community for over 30 years. He was known for his relentless work ethic, pride, and integrity. He was proud of all the work that he did, as well as the people he served and worked with. He was an exemplary role model of generosity and selflessness. He poured his heart and soul into everything that he did. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, his two loyal dogs Coco and Mambo, and all those who had the good fortune of knowing him.

In addition to his loving wife Sylvia, Oswaldo is survived by his children Aviel Suarez and his wife Marina, Yanessa Arena and her husband Danny, Arianna Suarez and her boyfriend Adam; his grandchildren, Leandro Arena, Katerina Suarez, his two newest grand-babies Laiana Arena and Kailaya Suarez; his sister Barbi Rodriguez and her daughters Gabriella and Gianna Rodriguez; his in-laws Rafael and Marta Bravo; his brother-in-law Michael DeCarlo and his nephews Elan-Paolo DeCarlo and Alessandro DeCarlo and his wife Kristen.

Oswaldo was predeceased by his parents, his sister Antoinette DeCarlo and his nephew Gian Gabriel DeCarlo.
